ABOUT EUROCHEMBIO
One community. One stage.
One European voice for chemical biology.
A new chapter begins for European chemical biology. In 2027, Milan will host the inaugural EuroChemBio, a landmark congress created by joining forces between the long-standing European Chemical Biology Symposium (ECBS) and the EFMC International Symposium on Chemical Biology (EFMC-ISCB).
More than a new conference, EuroChemBio embodies a shared vision: bringing together Europe’s scientific communities into a single, internationally recognised forum for discovery, collaboration and innovation.
Building on the momentum of ChemBioParis 2025 and EFMC-ISCB 2025 in Basel, EuroChemBio will become the flagship European event for researchers working at the interface of chemistry, biology and drug discovery.
Founded by EuChemS Division of Chemical Biology and Chemistry for Life Sciences (ChemBio Life), EFMC, EU-OPENSCREEN and the Swiss Chemical Society, the congress reflects an unprecedented institutional alliance designed to strengthen scientific excellence, foster interdisciplinary exchange and increase Europe’s global visibility in chemical biology.
EuroChemBio will be held every two years, alternating leadership between the partner organisations, with Milan launching the series in 2027.
